Herinvesteren
Ik kreeg mail van Cinemareloaded, het crowfundingproject van het IFFR: ik moet vóór 31 december mijn geld herinvesteren. Een jaar geleden had ik voor 50 euro muntjes gekocht, en geïnvesteerd in Pipilotti Rist. De Zwitsere videokunstenares gaf er echter al snel de brui aan, geen tijd. Als vervanger werd Harmony Korine gestrikt, in wiens film ik ook ook wel wilde investeren, maar Korine staakte zijn medewerking nog sneller dan Rist.
En nu moet ik mijn centen verdelen over de twee andere projecten: Random Strangers van Alexis Dos Santos en de nog altijd naamloze film van Ho Yuhang. De eerste staat sinds het begin van het Cinemareloaded-project op 4.100 euro, de tweede op 2.460 euro. Voor beide films is tenminste 15.000 euro nodig – volkomen kansloos dus.
Het gaat mij niet eens om die 50 euro, maar ik ben het er niet mee eens. Ik wil gewoon geen coproducent zijn van Alexis Dos Santos of Ho Yuhang! Wie weet raad?

Dear co-producer,
This is a reminder: as a former co-producer of Pipilotti Rist and Harmony Korine you have returned coins in your virtual wallet that are not yet allocated.
Pipilotti Rist and Harmony Korine said goodbye to Cinema Reloaded. Every coin invested in their projects returned to the virtual wallets of their co-producers. These coins can be re-allocated to another Cinema Reloaded project.
Our Cinema Reloaded directors Alexis Dos Santos and Ho Yuhang are still in the game, so choose one or both projects and spend your coins before 31 December 2010. Please note that all coins that are not allocated after this day will be equally divided between the two projects on Cinema Reloaded. Also don’t forget that by spending your coins you get the exclusive right to watch the online premiere in VOD, or maybe even an invitation to the live premiere during this coming edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Moreover, if you donate 5 coins to one particular project, your name will be included in the end credits.
As soon as you have spent your coins, we urge you to mobilize your friends and family. Support creativity and art and help the directors to make it happen. You can also give coins to your friends and family as a voucher. Now that’s an original present!
